T-4 days until we Max Out!
Since my first foray into
Insanity two years ago, I've been partial to Shaun T. I love his style -
encouraging and also intense. Insanity totally kicked my post-baby body
back into shape. T25, which I've done several times now was a perfect follow-up
to the Insanity series - 25 minutes long so easy to do in the morning before
work and intense but also with a modifier which meant I could con Andrew into
doing it with me. I've now done T25 two or three times through and still rotate
it in and out of my weekly workouts but I'm ready for something new. And it's
here - Insanity Max 30. The perfect marriage of Insanity and T25. 30 minutes.
Shaun T in all of his glory. 150 new moves. A modifier you can see on screen in
every shot. Only 5 days/week so you get your weekends off!
So where does the name “Max 30”
come from? Well,
the workouts are 30 minutes long, which is perfect for busy people (no 60
minute workouts here!) The “max” part of things comes from the goal of the
workout, which is to Max Out. What is Maxing out? To Max Out means to
stop or fail for the first time in the workout. It's really not about
getting through all 30 minutes without stopping. Instead, it's about going
as hard as you can for as long as you can, until you MAX OUT. Once you
do, you write down the time, take a break, and then jump right back into the
workout. If you stay committed and push yourself to the max every workout,
you will add more time each week to your workouts and get some amazing results.
The
whole workout is built around intervals – 3 moves, 30 seconds each for 3
rounds. Each day you go a little longer and a little harder. It really is a
mental and physical challenge – you against yourself.
So what do you get with Max 30
