Beachbody's Newest Release: The Master's Hammer & Chisel
I'm super excited to try out Beachbody's newest release, Hammer and Chisel, as my next workout. It launched today and I just placed my order!
What is Hammer & Chisel?
The Master's Hammer and Chisel is a new resistance-training system that incorporates three muscle-sculpting phases - Stabilization, Strength, and Power - or SSP Training. This is how co-creators and expert trainers, Autumn and Sagi help build, chisel, and refine a masterpiece physique in just 60 days.
LENGTH: This is a 60 day program which like the Fix, includes one workout a day for 60 days. Workouts range from 30-40 minutes in length.
EQUIPMENT: All you need is a set of hand weights ranging from 5-25 lbs for women or 15-50 for men, a bench or stability ball, and a pull up bar or door attachment or band alternative.
MEAL PLAN: The food plan is based on the 21 Day Fix model and the workouts come with a set of the Fix containers which takes the guesswork out of the nutrition. The program guide gives you an option to bulk, maintain or lose weight and the containers are set based on your goals and your current body.

How do you know if this program is a good fit for you?
Well, if you like weights (think 21 Day Fix, P90X3, or Body Beast) this is a great next option. Because it's the brainchild of 21 Day Fix creator Autumn Calabrese and the Body Beast himself, Sagi Kalev, it's sure to build muscle, burn fat and get you chiseled. The workouts are 1/2 Autumn, 1/2 Sagi and as is their style, Autumn's give you a more explosive, weighted cardio approach and Sagi bring the powerlifting, muscle building approach which will get those muscles going and keep you burning calories long after your workout is done.

SUPPLEMENTS: The new Performance Line is recommended and there is an option to purchase the program with either Shakeology or a Performance stack that includes Energize (the pre-workout formula) and Recover (designed to help those muscles repair and recover after your workouts.) I know I'm planning to use both and do already - they are hands down my favorite pre and post workout drinks.
